I'm glad you got Addy. She's just darling. She was my second girl all the way back in 1996. I had Kirsten, too, and I would always put their hands side by side and think...YUMM, chocolate and caramel! Addy's hair is great, too. I read on the big board how you are keeping her hair in the net for a while. I think that's a great idea! Once her hair gets messy, it's really hard to untangle, (of course, my Addy's hair has been messy for 10 years now so I guess that could be part of the problem... [img]tongue.gif[/img] ). I used to keep Addy in her Birthday dress so I could put her snood on her and keep her hair neat.

The bonnet is just darling, too. It's kind of made of a basket-like material and it's so cool. It doesn't damage easy, either. (I know, I've thrown it in a big box with all my doll clotes countless times and it's still neat as the day I got her.)

I don't see why you don't like the accessories (the gourd and the coin are just adorable!) but it was smart of you to save money that way! It leaves more money for OTHER AG stuff you might like better... [img]graemlins/angel.gif[/img]

Yeah, I CAN was bad. It's a shame that a company that promotes good things (like not dressing too revealingly) etc. would get involved in something like that.

Have you heard of the LOF dollies? I liked their response to the I CAN scandal. Many people don't know this, but LOF was based on a book series written in the early 1900s by Martha Finley. (you can get the first 6 books free online at http://www.gutenberg.org) The books are somewhat anti-Catholic, though, but they're great stories if you look past that. http://alifeoffaith.com/ is the LOF website incase you didn't know.

Yeah, LOF is very expensive and they dont' have soft bodies, either. (Plus in the books, Violet had blond, curly hair, and, the doll looks nothing like her.) But they send a good message! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Addy's bird, Sunny, is so CUTE! I can see why you want her. [img]smile.gif[/img] . I have the sweets, too, but I lost the lid to the box. They're really easy to lose, so be careful.

Addy must look grand in the tunic outfit. I usually don't dress dolls in clothes from someone else, but sometimes I just HAVE to, ya know? Like some of my dolls just HAVE to try something on...(they can be pushy little things [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img] ) [img]wink.gif[/img]

I know what you mean about just getting the accessories that we like. That's what I do, too. (Aside from the fact that I couldn't FIT everything from the collections into my room, some of the stuff I just don't want.) Of course, I wouldn't pass it up if I won it for free...*crosses fingers* They might have a contest for winning Molly and Emily like they did for Lissie and Lizzie...Oh I hope I hope I hope.

BTW-- what rules should we have for this Zombie-like Ghosty AG Room? Any at all? One rule I think we can all agree on is that we must not do anythign unChristian or harmful to anyone's spiritual health. What do you think? Should we allow netspeak, etc? Think of some rules and we can agree on them. Or not...we really don't need rules if there are so few people, but if more are invited, we might start needing them. Just a thought. Not trying to be bossy or anything.

They had a contest for the Felicity movie... one GRAND PRIZE WINNER won FELICITY AND ELIZABETH'S ENTIRE COLLECTION!!!! (too bad it wasn't me). 5 1st place winners won both Felicity and Elizabeth (and books) and 20 2nd prize winners won either Felicity or Elizabeth (they got to choose.) You could enter online, so you don't have to be near AG place. I hope they do it again for Emily/Molly. (And I hope we both are at least first prize winners! [img]wink.gif[/img] ).

As for the rules, let's just agree to act like good Christians. I think that about covers everything. We can deal with other stuff as it comes up...

I saw that and felt bad for you. I know that it's really hard to make yourself not care about things like that. I remember when I was in middle school...every little thing someone would say bad about me would get me down, even though I knew it didn't really matter what they thought of me. [img]frown.gif[/img] And when I first read that comment on the board, I thought she meant funny strange (like accusatory) rather than funny ha-ha, which is apparently what she really did mean.

I guess you gotta keep telling yourself that it only matters what Jesus thinks of you and what your friends/family think (and then those really don't matter as much as what Jesus thinks of you.) It's hard to make yourself remember that though. I hope you feel better soon!

I'm not lucky with contests, either. I tried to enter Felicity's contest as many times as I could (which was once per day) but either I would forget to enter, or I didn't understand what once per day meant. It didn't mean once on that date, but literally once every 24 hrs. So if I had entered at 9 am. I couldn't enter again until 9 am the next day. KWIM? Oh well...
